    General Contractor in Pacific Palisades

Build And Decor Construction is a licensed general contractor serving Pacific Palisades. We hold CSLB License #1113888, held by license holder Sebastian Moreno Rivera, covering Class B General Building and Class C-33 Painting and Decorating. We carry insurance. We work on three fronts here: rebuild construction for homeowners who lost a house in the January 2025 Palisades Fire, remodels and additions to standing homes, and interior and exterior painting made for salt air and hard sun.

Our project leads walk every job. Our crews have completed more than 400 projects across Los Angeles and Orange County, and every one carries a one-year workmanship warranty. Clients rate our work 5.0 stars on average across 88 reviews. Ratings current as of August 2026.

The estimate is free and it happens on site. We measure, photograph, read the lot, and write a scope in plain language that your crew and your carrier can both read.

Fire rebuild support in Pacific Palisades

We build to the scope you and your carrier settle on. Claim negotiation belongs to a licensed public adjuster or your attorney. Our lane is construction, and we document every stage of it so your file stays current.

Build And Decor is a licensed Class B general building contractor with more than 400 projects finished across Los Angeles and Orange County. A rebuild runs a long sequence: lot assessment and site access, soils and geology reports where the department requires them, design and engineering with your architect, plan submittal and permit, then foundation, framing, rough trades, inspections, finishes, and final. We sequence the trades, hold the schedule, and keep one person answering your calls.

Two things are worth knowing before you start. The City lists a One-Stop Rebuilding Center at 1828 Sawtelle Blvd in West Los Angeles, staffed by Building and Safety, City Planning, Fire, and other departments, and it names a Self-Certification Pilot Program and a Standard Plan Program among the application pathways for rebuild projects. Much of Pacific Palisades also sits inside the California Coastal Zone, which puts the Coastal Act on top of the City's building requirements.

We will not promise you a permit date or an approval. Those belong to the reviewing agencies. What we promise is a crew that shows up, photographs and written records at every stage, an inspection-ready site, and a phone that gets answered.

Remodels and additions on Palisades lots

Palisades lots ask harder questions than flatland houses. Ground falls away. Driveways run steep and narrow, and that single fact decides how material reaches the site and how much of the day a crew loses to logistics. Older canyon houses hide surprises behind the drywall: knob and tube wiring, undersized panels, framing built to a different code. We open walls early and price what we find, rather than discovering it in week six.

Salt air comes in off the water and works on everything it touches. Fasteners rust. Unprotected steel bleeds through paint. South and west elevations bake, and thin sealant chalks out in a couple of seasons. We specify to the exposure: stainless or hot-dip fasteners in the weather, marine-grade coatings on exterior metal, flashing detailed for wind-driven rain, and finishes rated for the sun that elevation actually takes.

Kitchens. Bathrooms. Full home renovations. ADUs and garage conversions. Outdoor living, decks, and hardscape that follow the slope instead of fighting it. Investment scales to scope and materials, and the estimate says so in writing before anyone swings a hammer.

Interior and exterior painting for coastal exposure

We hold the C-33 Painting and Decorating classification alongside the Class B general building license. The painters are ours. The same company that frames your addition finishes it.

Coastal paint work is won in the prep. We wash salt and film off the substrate. We scrape and sand to sound material, spot-prime bare wood and bare metal, and set proud fasteners. Failed caulk comes out instead of getting coated over. Stucco patches cure before the first coat lands. Then we run a full system, primer and topcoats from one manufacturer, at the film thickness the data sheet calls for.

Interiors get the same discipline and more masking. Floors covered, hardware pulled, edges cut by hand. We paint occupied homes on a schedule you can live inside, and we clean the site every evening before we leave.

    Why Palisades neighbors call us

License first. Class B General Building and Class C-33 Painting and Decorating, issued by the CSLB. Look it up before you call. We carry general liability insurance and send the certificate to any homeowner, architect, or association that asks. Our workers' compensation status is on file with the CSLB.

The record is public. Clients rate our work 5.0 stars on average across 88 reviews. Ratings current as of August 2026. More than 400 projects are finished and behind us.

Every job carries a one-year workmanship warranty in writing. If something we installed fails inside that year, we come back and make it right.
